The Rochester Knighthawks scored six fourth quarter goals to comeback and defeat the Philadelphia Wings 11-8 Sunday afternoon at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ. This was the first pre-season game for both teams.
The Wings led 4-2 at halftime behind solid defense and Brandon Miller's goaltending. After trading off goals in the third quarter, the Wings took a 7-5 lead into the final fifteen minutes but Rochester capitalized on special teams play scoring once shorthanded and four times with the man advantage. Three of the Knighthawk power play goals came as a result of a five minute major assessed to the Wings Max Seibald.
The Wings and Knighthawks will open the regular season on January 14 at the Wells Fargo Center.
