The Barrage (2-1) will look to recover from last week's defeat at Rochester when they visit Mitchel Field for a rematch with the Long Island Lizards (1-2) Thursday evening. Faceoff is at 7 PM and the game will be shown on ESPN2 at 9:30 PM same night.
Last Meeting
The Barrage defeated Long Island 18-12 on May 25th at Texas Stadium. Matt Striebel, Mike Springer and Seth Goldberg each scored four goals for the Barrage while Tim Goettelmann, Frank Resetarits and Stephen Berger each tallied three for the Lizards. Brian Dougherty made 18 saves for the Barrage while Nick Murtha stopped 15 shots for Long Island.
Last Week
The Barrage suffered a 22-9 trouncing from the Rochester Rattlers. Justin Smith had five points (2G, 3A) and Seth Goldberg added three goals for the Barrage. Long Island needed overtime to earn their first win of the 2008 season, defeating Boston 20-19 at home, Frank Resetarits scoring the winner 4:01 into the extra period.
