The Barrage (4-3) travel to Boston for their first meeting of 2008 against the Cannons (4-2) Thursday night. Faceoff at Harvard Stadium is at 7:30. The game will be televised FRiday on Comcast SportsNet.
History
The Barrage are 7-13 all time against the Cannons in regular season play having won both meetings in 2007, 13-9 at Boston on May 19 and 16-13 at Downingtown on June 9. The Barrage are 4-7 on the road against the Cannons (1-4 at Cawley Stadium, 2-3 at Nickerson Field, 1-0 at Harvard Stadium).
Last Week
After trailing 5-0 after the first quarter, the Barrage outscored Washington 12-2 during the next two quarters and held on to defeat the Bayhawks 14-13 Saturday at George Mason University. Brian Dougherty made 24 saves and earned Goalie of the Week honors for his play. Mike Springer scored four goals and was the game's MVP. Also on Saturday, Boston traveled to San Francisco and defeated the Dragons 21-14.
Wings in the MLL
This week Wings fans will see a pair of their NLL players suiting up for the Cannons. John Christmas is tied for second on the Cannons with 21 points (10G, 11A) while A.J. Shannon was acquired on June 5th from Rochester and has chipped in a goal and an assist in three games. Kyle Sweeney and Brett Moyer will suit up for the Barrage.
