Wings Lacrosse 2013 (4-20-13 at Washington)

The Philadelphia Wings (7-8) will conclude the 2013 National Lacrosse League regular season Saturday night when they visit the Washington Stealth (8-7) at Comcast Arena.  Game time is at 10 PM and the game can be seen live at www.youtube.com/thelacrossenetwork.

History

The Wings are 9-4 all time in regular season play against the Stealth franchise, 3-3 on the road (2-2 in Albany, NY and 1-1 in San Jose, CA).  This will be the Wings first ever visit to Everett, WA to face the Stealth.  The Wings last road game against the Stealth occurred on January 21, 2006 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose (won by the Wings 10-7).  The teams met in Philadelphia on March 9 with the Stealth taking a 16-10 victory.   

Last Weekend

The Wings earned a spot in the 2013 NLL postseason with a 10-9 overtime win against the Toronto Rock at Wells Fargo Center.  Jordan Hall scored the game winner just 61 seconds into the extra session to give the Wings the victory.  Brendan Mundorf had six points (2G, 4A) while Brandon Miller made 48 saves to lead the Wings.  Miller was also named the NLL’s Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.  
Washington dropped a 15-10 decision at home last Saturday to the Buffalo Bandits.

Notes
Kevin Crowley needs three points to set a new career high (previous was 71 in 2012).
With a Wings win and a Rochester loss on Saturday the Wings would clinch a home playoff game for the first time since 2002.
Brandon Miller needs 42 saves to set a new career high (previous was 581 in 2010).
On this date
The Wings are 1-0 on April 20 having defeated the Rochester Knighthawks 12-11 in 2001 to advance to the NLL Championship game.
